Elvis

I spent Sunday afternoon with quite possibly the kindest family I've ever met. They are just so stinkin' nice.

Their little girl has some crazy blue eyes.

It sucks to have brown eyes.

I asked Annie if little blue eyes was a daddy's girl. Annie said that it kind of depended on the moment. I could totally see it at the end.

Sometimes she was quiet like her dad.

Sometimes the look in her eyes just reminded me of her mom.

I don't know, though...daddy's are a lot of fun.

So why is this post titled Elvis? Well, Annie and Josh's little girl has this little half smile. I find it hilarious because I really think she saves the big smiles for the moments she deems appropriate and gives the half smile for those moments she thinks are only half amusing. It reminds me of Elvis (I heart Elvis, by the way).

Energy

I have to say that Meghan and Scott reminded me of my husband and myself. She's just as...ummmm....obsessive...as I am.

He's just as....ummmm....whatever...as my husband.

Ying and yang, right?

Now, I'm not going to say that all kids like me. I will say that I can usually get them to warm up to me at least a little. I've been known to get a few hugs at the end of the shoot. Ummmm....not this one. Meghan and Scott's little guy had some serious energy and he directed it all to running away from me.

As Meghan said, it's his show.

I think if given another chance, I'd become his bff.

His sister, on the other hand, was a little doll.

She helped soothe my ego a bit.

Just a bit.

I've been really lucky to have some great families ask me to follow them around for a couple of hours. I wish I could invite them all over for Thanksgiving dinner. These guys were no exception. They were great.
